Families United, a recognized chapter in Connecticut of the National Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health and Youth M.O.V.E. National, ceased operations to the public on September 30, 2011.

As a community-based, family advocacy organization comprised of family members and professionals, Families United offered support, resources, and programming to families, young adults, and children. Their involvements were widespread, consistently focused on the ever-changing needs of individuals and/or families in support of healthy and safe communities across Connecticut.
Families United recognized that each family is diverse and may include people who are related biologically, emotionally, or legally. More, we understood that family is broadly defined by each individual as the person or persons who are significant to his or her life and community.
We honored organizational values of compassion, connection, courage, and belonging, striving to empower individuals, families, and young adults as they personally guided the decisions relative to the planning of their lives.
VISION
That all individuals and families feel safe, healthy, and valued based upon their personal goals and desires.
